Well. I think it's safe to say that we're going to have a lot of work ahead of us, looking around this place.
My name is Natasha, if anyone is out there to see it. I'm far from a construction expert but I'm going to be going around the hotel and gathering things that we may be able to use for minor repairs, wood that hasn't been rotted out, nails that may still be good, things like that. There are a few cans in the kitchen that we may be able to use for food but I have a feeling that we're going to be searching around for things to eat sooner than later. I hope someone out there knows how to hunt.
I don't know how much I have to offer in the ways of helping with the rebuilding project but I've been known to MacGyver things now and then in a tough situation. If anyone needs help with anything I can't promise that I'll be able to solve your problem but I'll try to help.
Also. Hello. I'd be nice to get a feel for how many people are here, if possible.

I like to think I'm an optimistic guy but it might have been easier to start from the ground up than to fix some of the stuff I've seen here, so far. Also, I know how to hunt, should probably share that up front.

Like I said, I'm not a construction expert. If you think starting over could help then we can do that, but we need materials first. We could always dismantle other buildings to make a new one... I hope there's a lot more than two of us if that's the case. Because if not, that's going to take a pretty damn long time.
Nice to meet you, Nick. Hopefully we'll find something around here that you'll be able to hunt with.

I've overseen some construction before, but that involved new materials, tools, and the whole nine yards. We should probably check out all of the buildings thoroughly before we make any real calls, but first impression they don't look great. I guess it all depends on what we actually can gather up here to work with, though, Natasha. And the number of hands because two is company, but it'd take us forever just to dismantle, let alone build.
It's nice to meet you too, either way, though, and I'll work with what I've got, no worries.

It'll take us a while but if there isn't a lot of us here, we won't need to build too much anyway. I feel like the work load will end up being equal to the population.
I guess that means we better get moving. You're going to have to show me what I'm looking for when it comes to deciding what can and can't be rebuilt, so we should meet somewhere and you can give me a rundown. We'll do a few locations together and then after that we'll split up, I feel like we'll cover more ground that way.
Have you explored this place at all?
no subject
That's fair, actually. We'll work it out, I'm sure, that is why we're here. So far it's just the two of us, but I'm sure that'll change, at least to add a few more people, anyway.
You're a productive woman, aren't you? I like it! I can't really argue, so lets get to it, the early bird and all that. I'll do my vert best to be thorough in showing you what to look for. And if you have any questions I'm a quick guy so I can double check if needed.
Nah, not near thoroughly enough yet.
no subject
I hope so. No offense but I didn't think building a new civilization would start with only two people. This is feeling a little too 'Adam and Eve' for my liking so far.
Productive isn't the worst thing I've been called, and it's not inaccurate. We'll see how decent of an instructor you can be with time.
Neither have I. There's fresh water, though, on a shore. It looks really clean, and I haven't gotten sick from drinking from it yet so I have a feeling that that's where our hydration is going to be coming from until we figure out something else.
no subject
No offense taken. An Adam I am not, Natasha, I'm more than willing to cop to that. I'm a social butterfly, as a matter of fact. I'm sure I'd drive you nuts within a couple days tops.
I'm sure it's not the best either, but I reserve more flattery for after we've actually met in person, just for the record. I've got to save something to work up to. And I'm an amazing instructor; I learned from the best.
That's good to know. We're going to have to check and see about the plumbing in this place to see what the situation is, but if nothing else we've got that. Though, for future reference I'm willing to be the test subject on whether something is going to make someone sick. I've been told I've got an immune system of steel. Stomach too.
no subject
Well that's just fine because I'm certainly no Eve. I have no intention of speaking to animals or being blamed for the sins of humanity because you decided to eat an apple instead of questioning my mental health when I told you a snake said to.
Flattery will get you nowhere with me, Nick. Build us a hospital. Then I'll be impressed.
I wouldn't hold your breath for the plumbing, but my fingers are crossed. And let's hope we don't need to make you risk your life eating something too often, if we're lucky the game here will be familiar enough to know what's safe and what's not.
no subject
I can promise you that I will not blame you for the sins of humanity, Natasha. And if you tell me you've talked to snakes I'll definitely question your mental health.
That I can do too. I'll do both. I'm an over-achiever like that.
YEah, I'm not, but it'd be a nice little surprise at the same time, you know? I'm touched at your concern over the amount that I may have to risk my life, really, that's sweet! I'm sure that the game won't be too different or weird. We'll see soon enough.

islandtown, from what I can tell, looks about the same.I've never done anything like this before, so I don't...you know, know how to hunt or what to gather or whatever, uh, and I'm not very good at...construction? I don't think? But I'm
superstrong, so I can try to help with that, anyway.no subject
It's nice to meet you, Kara. Have you run into anybody else while wandering around town?
no subject
Likewise. Not yet, no.
But I was flying so...I'm sure there's other people around though.no subject
Well I hope that you're right, because if not then it's just you, me, and Romeo up there making this place livable.

That's a lot of work for three people. Here's hoping everyone else is just really late to the party?
